Meet Michelle! With over two decades of experience in the career transition industry, Michelle has helped professionals across countless sectors land their dream job. This, plus her specialized background in management, sales, and retail, makes her an asset to our incredible team of Career Strategists.
When guiding professionals, Michelle has found that listening is her greatest strength. Through intentional listening, she is able to develop and nurture client relationships. Looking at the journey with an open mind and a “think outside the box”attitude has proven to be very powerful for her.
Michelle’s goal is always to find commonalities with people in order to facilitate an easier process in guiding them to find solutions. For that reason, she feels she can work with most people. However, those that can see the big picture are likely going to be very closely aligned to Michelle’s approach to the career search process.
When Michelle is not working, she loves spending her time outdoors. As a mother of two Eagle Scouts, she has logged many hours camping, hiking, and experiencing the great outdoors. She is also a huge fan of HGTV and dabbles in furniture restoration and refinishing.
We are grateful to have someone with Michelle’s ability to find commonalities with others and her years of industry experience as a part of our team!
What makes looking for a job in 2023 different than 10 years ago?
Although the job search landscape has evolved significantly over the past decade in several ways, two of the biggest influences that I recognize are the focus on technology and automation and the increase in remote work.
Years ago, we would have never imagined all the applicant tracking systems and artificial intelligence streamlining the hiring process. This has dramatically impacted the way people find jobs.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the adoption and acceptance of remote work has expanded the scope of job opportunities. This carries through from the emphasis on digital and virtual interviews all the way through to the onboarding process.
