John H.

Chief Operating Officer

Deerfield Beach, FL

John had been with his previous company for 30 years when they closed down from the impact of the pandemic on sales. John hadn’t performed a job search in 30 years, so he engaged with ECP. John told us that ECP helped design his resume and website. John says that this, combined with the action plan that ECP developed, the research they provided on potential employers, and his weekly meetings with his Career Strategist, were all key to his success.

One of the most valuable takeaways for John was improving his networking skills. His networking skills were already good, but ECP helped him update his LinkedIn and leverage his network for more effective results.

After networking and interviewing, John left the retail industry and accepted a position as Chief Operating Officer in the consumer services industry.

Mariah R.

Proposal Writer

Denver, CO

Mariah was not fulfilled in her job and sought a position with more stability and job satisfaction. She’d been successful in a previous field earlier in her career, and decided to search for something in that industry.

Mariah’s career strategist helped her remain positive, while providing useful career advice, and keeping Mariah focused and on target. She found the things that benefitted her the most were working on the SOARS questionnaires and updating her resume and professional profile. Mariah’s career strategist helped her to see the value of her various types of professional experiences and how much she really had accomplished during her career.

Mariah also learned the value of maintaining an updated and comprehensive LinkedIn profile, and how to use LinkedIn to network effectively.

After only 2 months, Mariah found a job in the industry that she wanted, at a stable company and with a higher position. Mariah says, “My new job exceeded my expectations… . My team members are talented and supportive; the company’s products are fascinating; and my position is full-time, permanent, remote. So, I can work from anywhere! Also amazing is that my position is with a cutting-edge, international technology company with offices and workers worldwide.”

Ron F.

Director of People Services

Chicago, IL

In 2021, Ron lost his position and turned to ECP for help in finding his next job. He told us that his ECP Career Strategist was a tremendous help and he particularly found the job scan feature helpful.

With ECP’s help, Ron improved his LinkedIn profile, learned how to identify keywords in job descriptions to include in his research, and learned how to network more effectively. All of these skills made Ron’s job search easier and more efficient. These are skills he will carry with him throughout his career.

After working with ECP, Ron switched from sales to human resources and landed a job as the Director of People Services for a major transportation company.

Chris H.

Director of Client Operations

Houston, TX

Like many others, Chris was hit hard by the pandemic. He lost his business with his wife and took a significant pay cut at the company where he worked, so he started looking for a new job. Chris’s previous experience focused on the health and fitness industry, and that’s where he chose to target his job search.

Before ECP, Chris wasn’t aware of all of the recruiters and resources available on various platforms and services. ECP helped him find and access the contacts he wanted. Chris advanced his skills on LinkedIn and his Career Strategist coached him on how to work with ATS software to improve his interview chances.

After just 2 months, Chris accepted a job as a Director of Client Operations at a large primary care provider. They are employee and client focused and live up to their reputation and beliefs, which is important to Chris. He’s excited about the growth opportunity and potential there.

Romina H.

Director of Program Management

San Diego, CA

Romina’s company closed and she decided she wanted to work as a transformation leader. ECP helped Romina to focus on jobs that she truly wanted, rather than just finding any job to pay the bills. With the help of her Career Strategist, Romina learned how to find companies that she was interested in and contact the right people to get interviews. She also learned the importance of weighing her own needs for a job, rather than just looking at whether she fit the company’s needs.

Romina says, “The LinkedIn tips and process, networking assistance, resume types/templates, correspondence templates, job ramp software, own website, and weekly ECP meetings were winning combinations to land me an exciting opportunity with a fabulous company.”

With ECP’s coaching on LinkedIn optimization, Romina grew her network from 386 contacts to 1300 in just 3 months. She met and talked with hundreds of people on an international scale to learn about their experience, their companies, and who was hiring. Especially valuable were Romina’s weekly meetings with her Career Strategist, which helped her to set and meet goals, manage communication,  and apply what she learned.

After a thorough search, Romina found the perfect fit and was offered a job as Director of Program Management with the Transformation Management Office. The position is critical to bridge gaps between strategic project initiatives and project implementation. Romina is responsible for managing the projects and the core resources involved, as well as planning, communication, and recommendations. She gets to work with all levels of the organization, as well as multiple departments. It’s the perfect job for her, and just what she was looking for.

After almost 3 months, Troy accepted a position as an executive with a regional homebuilder heading up land acquisitions in the southeast.

Doug T.

Head of Worldwide Business Development

Houston, TX

In 2021, Doug was part of a reduction in employees and started his search for a new job in the merchandise industry. Doug appreciated the logic behind ECP’s job search plan and was ready to move forward right away.

For Doug, ECP’s most valuable services were his Career Strategist, the resume optimization, and his personal website. Doug learned the importance of optimizing his resume for ATS, and the value of leveraging his personal network to find job opportunities.

After an extensive search, Dough accepted a job offer as the Head of Worldwide Business Development.

Ashley D.

VP Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement

Battlelake, MN

Ashley wanted a more challenging role, which wasn’t available with her previous employer. So, she began her job search with ECP’s help.

For Ashley, the review and revisions of her resume, cover letter, and one-pager were “incredibly valuable and helped garner attention to my outreach and application.” She also found value in her Career Strategist insights and recommendations, as well as their guidance on following a schedule and focusing on specific tasks each week.

About her experience with ECP, Ashley said, “I learned the importance of staying and remaining active on LinkedIn, networking and making sure that you’re building and maintaining relationships even when not job hunting.”
